Abstract

This article focuses on producing high-quality castings from alloyed cast iron using sand-clay molds. It provides details regarding the laminar and turbulent flow of molten metal during the casting process. The paper emphasizes the importance of correctly selecting the alloy composition, flowability, mold filling behavior, furnace type, and casting system to achieve optimal casting quality.
