Abstract

The present paper seeks to examine the intricate relationship between rurality and poverty and the role of an improved agricultural disposition in the mitigation of poverty, rural growth and overall progress. The crucial role of the rural sector and agriculture cannot be misjudged as it serves as the foundation for anti-poverty programmes in an agricultural based country or state like that of India or West Bengal respectively.
